Psychosis is a serious mental health disorder, which is combination of symptoms resulting in an impaired relationship with reality. You might hear, see, or believe things that are not real. People who are experiencing psychosis may have either delusions or hallucinations.
Hallucinations are sensory experiences that occur within the absence of an actual stimulus. For example, (i)auditory hallucination- a person may hear mother yelling at him when mother is not around (ii) visual hallucination- a person may see someone who is not actually there.
Delusions-Β person has unshakable believe in something untrue. ex- (i) person will think he is the president of country (ii)Person may think that someone is planning to kill or hurt him.
Some people with psychosis may also experience social withdrawal & loss of motivation.
You or the person experiencing psychosis symptoms must visit the doctor.
